COVID-19 & Changes to our Services

South Derbyshire CVS premises are currently closed to the public and visitors, and staff are working from home. All our group activities and most community based face to face services have stopped for the time being. The Community Fridge is closed until further notice.

Our Food Bank is now operating from Hill St Baptist Church in Swadlincote and collection of food parcels and donation drop-offs are by appointment only. Please see below for more information.

South Derbyshire CVS Food Projects

This year we will provide around 1,000 emergency food parcels to individuals and families in need in South Derbyshire. We’re appealing for financial donations to help feed those people who are struggling. They can be struggling for all kinds of reasons - ill-health, job loss, bereavement, homelessness or other changes in personal circumstances. Big or small, a gift from you will help us make sure no-one in South Derbyshire goes hungry.

  • £5 provides an emergency parcel for a child for 1 day
  • £20 feeds a family for 3 days
  • £50 feeds a family for a week
