Community Directory Derbyshire
Over 5000 Community groups at your fingertips!
Did you know that there are over 5000 voluntary and community groups in Derby and Derbyshire? That's 5000 groups doing everything from supporting people in times of need to providing fun activities for children and young people not to mention the groups who tackle race and hate crime and those who offer a meeting place for like-minded people, be they train enthusiasts or keen walkers.
For the first time all of these groups, in their rich diversity, are available in one place - the Community Directory Derbyshire!
The Directory is available for everyone to explore and find out what goes on in the world of community and voluntary groups in Derby and Derbyshire. Community Directory Derbyshire was created by a partnership of local charities (including South Derbyshire CVS) who provide support to community groups. The new online directory makes it easier to find groups by area, interest or type of support.

- If you find your group isn't listed, you can register via the website or by completing a simple form. It's easy and FREE!
- If your group's details on the Directory are incomplete or incorrect just contact us to update your details or to provide additional information.

Job Vacancy: CreatiVenesS Business Development Manager
£30,000 per annum + Travel Expenses + Pension
37 hours per week
18 Month Initial Contract
We require a Business Development Manager to develop CreatiVenesS - a trading company set up to generate income to support organisations within the voluntary and community sector in Derbyshire. The successful candidate for this exciting new post will be self-motivated with excellent communication and project management skills. They will be able to demonstrate success in bid/tender writing and business development.

FriendShop - New Shopping Service
South Derbyshire CVS is now offering FriendShop a new Shopping Service for people who struggle to get out to do essential shopping (for example, due to ill health or a disability).
One of our friendly and trusted volunteers will come and collect the person's shopping list and return with the items they need.
FriendShop can provide short-term help or a regular service.
If you or your family, friends or service users would benefit from this kind of help please contact us.
A small fee of just £1 per shop is charged to cover our running costs plus the cost of the volunteer's mileage (45p per mile).
